Kartell
Kartell has remained dedicated to pioneering research, innovation, and technological progress for over seven decades. Established in 1949 by Giulio Castelli, the company embarked on its journey by focusing on functional household items, reshaping post-World War II design and epitomising the 'Made in Italy' label.
Later, under the leadership of Claudio Luti from 1988, Kartell experienced a resurgence through collaborations with esteemed designers and architects such as Anna Castelli Ferrieri, Gino Colombini, and Philippe Starck and by embracing innovative materials like polycarbonate and carbon fibre to craft iconic pieces like the La Marie chair and the Masters chair.
Kartell swiftly became synonymous with excellence, cutting-edge design, and industrial ingenuity. Today, with Claudio Luti's children, Lorenza and Federico, actively engaged in the company, Kartell continues to evolve, expanding into new sectors and product categories, including outdoor furnishings and textiles, while embracing sustainability principles.
