Emilio Cabrero

Emilio Cabrero is an architect, designer, curator and creative consultant. In 1990 he founded C Cúbica a multidisciplinary office with Andrea Architects Cesarman and Marco Coello. Through its career of more than 25 years, C Cúbica has sought to express their dedication to the creative process, materials and method in their residential, commercial and social projects. In 2004, C Cúbica created the first center in Mexico Architecture and Design (CAD) and founded a showroom Artelinea. Since 2009, he is CEO of Design Week Mexico, which seeks to establish a platform to promote design and creativity as values that contribute to social, economic and cultural development of our society. He has worked over the years to provide a vast varied programming with a wide range of proposals, exhibitions, conferences, panels, installations, documentaries to generate a dialogue between professionals and the general public. Thus expanding the idea that good design is an integral part of life and its impact talks a lot about the way we interact as a society. In 2010, C Cúbica and a group of key opinion leaders in the Mexican design scene founded Blend, the largest in Mexico concept store. In 2014, as an initiative of Design Week Mexico, Mexico Creative Territory is set, looking to project young Mexican designers in Mexico and abroad. In 2015, in hand with the Government of Mexico City, Mexico Design Week achieves the designation of Mexico City as World Design Capital (WDC) for 2018. Design Week Mexico celebrated its 11th edition in 2019 and is currently planning on its 12th in October of this year.

Respecting others.

In general people who have pursuit their dreams and accomplish them.

I'm stuffed.

Nothing, cause that thing makes me who I am.

My family, my friends and my job in general.

Water.

People who help others and don't expect anything back.

Fake people.

I try not to regret of anything, everything happens for a reason.
