Françoize Boucher is an author, illustrator and occasional marketing consultant. Having previously worked in fashion for 15 years with brands like Repetto and Le Bon Marché, she began writing half-drawn, half-written children’s books after the birth of her 4thchild. Her books are atypical in that they deal with serious issues in a humorous and poetic way. She has published over 20 books and some of the best selling ones are translated in 25 languages. Françoize lives in Paris.
What is your idea of perfect happiness? The blissful feeling when I know I am doing exactly the right thing, with the right people in the right place.
What do you consider your greatest achievement? Balance: between family / work / social life and also between craziness and seriousness.
What is your most treasures possession? My body, which hosts my soul and my heart and is a 1000% magic device if you think about it.
What is your most marked characteristic? My smile. It’s (almost) always on my face. Even when I feel a bit low, it’s there, never quite really understood how!
