Kristine Arth is the founder and principal designer behind Lobster Phone. She is known for building brands that carefully balance timelessness with distinct visual expression. Her work has earned awards from Red Dot, IDA, iF Design, IDSA, SPARK!, IDEA, GDUSA and The Dieline. Arth has juried The One Show, IDSA and ADAA; was a keynote speaker at Brand New, First Round, AIGA Y22, AIGA CO, and SF Design Week. She’s been a featured designer and ongoing co-host for Behance’s Adobe Live design series.

What is your current state of mind?: Live every day like it's your last...someday you'll be right.

What is your favorite occupation?: My own, of course. Otherwise I would be doing something else.

What is your most marked characteristic?: My energy. It's contagious and limitless.

What do you most value in your friends?: Courage, enchantment, persistence, trust.

Who are your favorite writers?: Hemingway, Fitzgerald, Watts, Keats, Rilke, Hughes, Plath. If recognized by a single name, I devour them.

What is your motto?: Don’t fight it. Embrace your inner strange. When you do that you bring who you are, not what they want. And that's when life gets fun.
