The MORTLACH x STARCK debut collection will be revealed in Spring 2024. This brilliant partnership with visionary and multifaceted creator Philippe Starck celebrates Mortlach Whisky’s roots in distinct heritage, impressive craftsmanship, and intentionality in the design world.

With his audacious spirit leading the way, Mortlach boldly enters a new era as Philippe Starck immerses the brand with vibrant creativity. At the crossroads of traditionalsavoir-faire and avant-garde intelligence, with humanity always at the heart, MORTLACH xSTARCK is inspired by the story of evolution, as the new Creative Director shares the samepioneering vision as Mortlach's trailblazing distiller Alexander Cowie.
This exciting partnership with Philippe Starck is part of the brand’s ongoing collaboration in the design world, reflective of Mortlach’s deeply rooted history in thoughtful craftsmanship. Mortlach was pioneered by an engineer and a doctor, whose analytical minds and shared passion for precision in design informed a distinct approach to whisky-making. Mortlach’s singular distillation, a fiendishly complex process known as “The Way,” which features six stills, is unique to the brand and has remained unchanged since it was invented in 1896. The precise 2.81 distillation process is a closely guarded secret, handed down through generations of Mortlach distillers, and responsible for the whisky’s unmatched flavor.
The collaboration was celebrated with members of the global creative communities of art, design, culture and whisky in Miami, at an exclusive event imagined for Mortlach by Philippe Starck, who enlisted the talents of agency Bureau Betak and French Chef Yann Nury.
