Lars Müller Publishers Joins the Eames Institute of Infinite Curiosity, Advancing a Shared Design Legacy

The Eames Institute of Infinite Curiosity, the nonprofit public charity dedicated to sharing the problem‑solving lessons of Ray and Charles Eames with the world, and Lars Müller Publishers (LMP), the Swiss independent publishing house renowned for its authoritative titles in architecture, design, and visual culture, today announced that LMP has become part of the Eames Institute of Infinite Curiosity.

This alignment unites two mission‑driven entities committed to championing design as a catalyst for positive change. By integrating LMP’s globally recognized editorial program with the Institute’s expansive collection, research, and educational initiatives, the combined organization will broaden public access to seminal ideas, objects, and publications that inspire creative inquiry.

Building on this foundation, LMP will be further strengthened by the continued active involvement of its founder, Lars Müller, who will actively guide the publishing program over the coming years. In addition, the founders of the acclaimed Zurich studio Hubertus Design—Jonas Voegeli and Kerstin Landis—are joining Lars Müller Publishers, bringing internationally recognized expertise in editorial and visual communication to enrich future projects.

Under the new structure, Lars Müller Publishers will retain its name, editorial independence, and Zurich headquarters while gaining access to the Institute’s resources, curatorial expertise, and global network. By joining a growing family of mission‑driven entities within the Institute, including the storied William Stout Architectural Books in San Francisco’s Jackson Square, LMP will offer the full breadth of its catalog for in‑person discovery, events, and programming at Stout Books, providing a dynamic touchpoint for readers and professionals across the United States.
