Triennale Milano 24th International Exhibition, Inequalities, Officially Opens
The opening ceremony of the 24th Triennale Milano International Exhibition, entitled Inequalities, which will be open to the public from May 13 until Nov. 9, 2025, was held today.
After tackling the themes of sustainability in 2019 with Broken Nature, and the mysteries of the universe, from cosmic space to the invisible scale of viruses, in 2022 with Unknown Unknowns, the 24th International Exhibition closes this trilogy by focusing reflection on the human dimension and addressing an urgent and political issue such as the growing inequalities that characterize cities and the contemporary world. Explored through the dual lenses of geopolitics and biopolitics, Inequalities brings together voices from 43 countries across art, design, architecture, cultural institutions, and research fields. The exhibition delves into key themes such as health equity, access to housing and infrastructure, the impact of biodiversity loss, and species inequality.
The exhibition includes curatorial contributions from leading figures, including Hans Ulrich Obrist, Norman Foster, Theaster Gates, Beatriz Colomina, and Mark Wigley, alongside national presentations from countries such as Australia, China, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and Ukraine.
Inequalities runs from 13 May to 9 November 2025 at Triennale Milano
