Kettal to Present Kettal Workplace at ORGATEC 2026

A showcase of adaptable workplace environments exploring coworking, meeting, conference, and collaborative spaces through integrated furniture and architectural systems

(Cologne, Germany – October 2026) – Kettal, the contemporary design company known for its architectural approach to indoor and outdoor environments, will present Kettal Workplace at ORGATEC 2026. Bringing together furniture, architecture, lighting, acoustics, and spatial design, the exhibition explores how today’s workplaces can better support collaboration, flexibility, and human-centered experiences through integrated workplace environments.

Designed as a series of interconnected settings, the stands demonstrate how different modes of work can coexist within a cohesive architectural framework. Rather than presenting individual products in isolation, Kettal showcases complete workplace applications that move seamlessly between coworking, meeting, conference, and collaborative environments, illustrating how contemporary offices can accommodate changing patterns of work while maintaining a consistent architectural language.

At the center of the presentation is Kettal’s vision for the workplace as a flexible ecosystem. Reflecting the company’s evolution beyond furniture into complete spatial systems, the exhibition brings together architecture, atmosphere, lighting, acoustics, and adaptable furnishings to create environments designed around the ways people work, meet, and interact today.

Organized across two stands within Hall 5.2 and structured around distinct zones for coworking, meeting, and conference settings, Kettal Workplace incorporates two indoor pavilions that anchor the presentation and demonstrate Kettal’s increasingly architectural approach to workplace design. Conceived as flexible spaces within larger open-plan environments, the pavilions create areas for focused work, informal conversations, and private meetings while reinforcing the idea that contemporary workplaces must support multiple ways of working simultaneously.

A major focus of the stand will be Area, the modular furniture collection developed with Foster + Partners Industrial Design. Designed for meeting rooms, coworking spaces, libraries, and cafés, Area combines structural columns, modular tabletops, and integrated accessories to support multifunctional workplace environments. Incorporating power, lighting, and cable management directly into its framework, the system enables a range of configurations for both focused and collaborative work.

Kettal will also present U-Type, the office chair designed by Barber Osgerby that reimagines workplace seating through what the designers describe as “full performance, quiet design.” Combining ergonomic functionality with a calm architectural presence, the chair features a continuous die-cast aluminium frame, oversized upholstered cushions, and softly rounded forms that bring comfort and familiarity to contemporary workplaces.

The presentation will additionally feature Shogun, reintroduced in collaboration with Verner Panton Design AG to mark the centenary of Verner Panton. Originally designed in 1994–1995, Shogun embodies Panton’s vision of design as an immersive experience shaped by geometry, movement, and interaction. Combining sculptural character with mobility, the chair moves fluidly between collaborative workplaces, hospitality settings, and informal lounge environments.

“The boundaries between the workplace, the home and hospitality environments will continue to blur, because what we ultimately seek in any setting is the same: to feel comfortable, inspired and connected,” says Antonio Navarro, Creative Director at Kettal. “The office of the future will become more like a shared common space – a place for collaboration, creativity, and human connection.”

Across the stand, Kettal Workplace reflects the company’s belief that the boundaries between residential, hospitality, and workplace design are becoming increasingly fluid. Drawing from each of these sectors, Kettal presents a softer, more welcoming vision for the office – one that prioritizes comfort, wellbeing, and adaptability while supporting the changing needs of organizations and their teams.

This vision extends beyond the exhibition itself through Kettal’s presentation of the Eames Pavilion System, developed in collaboration with the Eames Office. The installation reinforces Kettal’s broader approach to workplace design, demonstrating how architecture, furniture, and technology can come together to create flexible environments for meeting, focus, and collaboration. Conceived by Charles and Ray Eames as a dynamic kit of parts, the Pavilion System reflects many of the same principles that underpin Kettal Workplace: adaptability, longevity, and a human-centered approach to design. Capable of being expanded, reconfigured, and relocated as organizational needs change, the system embodies Kettal’s belief that contemporary workplaces should function as living ecosystems rather than fixed environments. As Antonio Navarro explains, the Pavilion is “architecture that not only serves a purpose but also creates an emotional and cultural experience.”

As workplaces continue to evolve alongside new technologies and shifting patterns of work, Kettal proposes environments that function less as static offices and more as flexible destinations for collaboration, creativity, and human connection. Through integrated systems spanning furniture, architecture, lighting, and acoustics, the company continues to explore how workplaces can remain both technologically advanced and deeply human-centered.

Visitors can experience Kettal Workplace at ORGATEC 2026 in Hall 5.2, Stand P-061 & N-048, from October 27–30. The Eames Pavilion installation will be presented separately within the ORGATEC fairgrounds.
