Harry’s and Ghostly Releases New Limited Edition Glow-in-the-Dark Shave Set
Harry’s is delighted to announce the release of their new limited edition shave set in collaboration with the independent record label and art brand, Ghostly International. The limited-edition set features a glow-in-the-dark purple razor and a black razor stand, inspired by Ghostly’s brand colors, which allowed us to take advantage of the two-tone elements on the handle for visual interest and balance. We also wanted to embrace an unexpected use of color for a men’s razor. To underscore the collaboration, each box features a QR code that links to a curated, meditative playlist by Ghostly, to promote a peaceful self-care experience and continue Harry’s mission to elevate everyday experiences.
The collaboration between Harry’s and Ghostly came from a love of using design-forward thinking as a way to elevate the everyday. Both brands have a mutual understanding and philosophy of creating products of high quality, integrity, and with a sense of play. This limited-edition razor was designed with this in mind; the glow-in-the-dark handle harks to the playfulness and nostalgia of the Y2K generation, inciting surprise and joy in an everyday item without sacrificing form. Interpreting Ghostly’s clean aesthetic through their own purposeful lens, the Harry’s design team has created a razor that feels both cool and classic. While having the ability to glow-in-the-dark the handle takes on Harry’s classic Truman shape, and is available in a Ghostly’s purple brand color. The aesthetics also sit atop a bigger story around promoting positive mental health and mindfulness with the playlist aspect, and the appearance and sensation of the razor promote a feeling of indulgence and luxury, with its sleek handle which is designed with a rubberized matte exterior, texturized grip pattern, and weighted core for maximum grip and control.
