Huntsman Kicks Off 2020 with New Services and Partnerships at London Fashion Week Men’s

Renowned Savile Row tailor H. Huntsman & Sons announces a number of new services and partnerships to kick off the new decade. At an event in partnership with The British Fashion Council, Huntsman unveiled the Bespoke Tweed Service, an utterly unique experience that allows clients to design their own one of a kind tweed with Huntsman’s Creative Director, Campbell Carey. Further announcements include partnerships with Moda Operandi and Alexandra Llewellyn.

Steeped in a rich heritage of craftsmanship, Huntsman have dressed a wealth of significant figures throughout their storied history. In celebration of this and to coincide with the LFWM event, iconic pieces from the Huntsman archive will be on display throughout January, including the double-breasted puppy tooth jacket worn by Alexander McQueen, the single-breasted jacket designed by Huntsman cutters using artwork from Kesewa Aboah, and a Frock Coat made for David Bowie.

These notable garments will be displayed alongside the new Ready to Wear capsule collection, with key outerwear pieces designed in an exclusive, overcheck tweed and cashmere, designed using cloth from the archive tweed ledger. Accompanying this are a number of elegant separates, nuanced with history which reflect the signature style of the house.

Later this month, Huntsman will announce a partnership with luxury online retailer Moda Operandi having created a bespoke tartan in Moda’s house colours. This distinctive tartan will be available for limited-edition, made-to-order pieces, including a single-breasted suit, a double-breasted suit, and a Chesterfield overcoat. As one of the most progressive Savile Row tailors, Huntsman has developed the capability to make small runs of tartan crafted for clients and brand collaborations alike. This latest partnership illustrates Huntsman’s move into another digital platform, the fusion of bespoke tailoring and luxury online retailing. Whilst their bespoke services are entirely handcrafted with expertise accumulated in house for over 170 years, Huntsman embraces technology to empower its artisans and improve client experiences, forever striving to position itself at the forefront of the digital age.
